Moonoqrom (aka Onur Mercan) Industrial-Noise-Dark Ambient & Visual Arts The musical journey began in the early 1990s with metal music. First stage experiences were gained as a guitarist in a hardcore metal band. In the mid-1990s, he began exploring music production, composing early electronic noise-core tracks using the AMIGA 500 and experimental sound recordings. In 1995, the first project, Mid Culture Age, emerged—an electronic noise project that gained recognition in underground networks across various countries. Over the years, the production style evolved and now relies exclusively on analog synthesizers. The current live setup includes: Korg Minilogue, Elektron Model:Sample, Zoom Ms50G, Korg Volca Series + Ableton (for visual effects). The computer is used solely for visual effects and as a mixing console, ensuring that the work retains an authentic analog character. In addition to music, Moonoqrom creates visual video artworks, which are self-produced and projected in real-time alongside the music. These performances merge sound and visuals into a unique, immersive experience. The visual creations complement the music and highlight the experimental and atmospheric elements of the art.
